India-Argentina Centre for Excellence in Information Technology (IA-CEIT)

The agreement for the establishment of IA- CEIT, Argentina, was signed during the visit of the President of Argentina to India in February 2019. The CEIT was launched on 18 April 2023 at the University of Hurlingham, in the province of Buenos Aires. The IA-CEIT was established with the aim to facilitate transfer of technology to equip labs as well as transfer of knowledge, including through the exchange of experts and the development of training courses.. Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), the implementing agency from Indian side, deputed a Technical Adviser from India to the   IA-CEIT on 06 December 2022 for a period of two years for coordination of the Centre and course delivery. On 18 April 2023, the University of Hurlingham signed the agreement on collaboration under the Centre of Excellence with three other prominent National Universities – National University of Arturo Jauretche, National University of La Matanza and the University of Buenos Aires in order to expand the activities of CEIT and also extend remote classes in these prestigious universities.
