Embassy of India to Celebrate the 12th International Day of Yoga in Buenos Aires

Buenos Aires, June 2026 

The Embassy of India in Argentina is pleased to invite all to participate in the 12th International Day of Yoga (IDY 2026), which will take place on 20 June 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., at the America Pavilion, Olympic Park, Buenos Aires City.

Open to all and free of charge, the event aims to promote the physical, mental and emotional benefits of yoga, raise awareness of India’s traditional and alternative health systems, and strengthen cultural ties between India and Argentina through an inclusive and community-oriented celebration.

The wellness programme will feature a large-scale yoga session, group yoga classes for beginners and intermediate practitioners, guided meditation sessions, talks on holistic health, nutrition and well-being, as well as activities designed to encourage healthy lifestyles.

The celebration will also have two special features which will be introduced for the first time: Yoga for persons with disabilities of all ages and a special cultural show with Argentine folklore music and dance together with the traditional Indian classical and cultural performances.

In addition, the event will also feature the Festival of India, where Indian companies in Argentina will showcase their products. Attendees will be able to enjoy Indian textiles and garments, handicrafts, food items, spices, coffee and tea. There will also be a food court where participants will get to experience the rich and sumptuous gastronomy of India.

The previous edition of the International Day of Yoga held in 2025 at the Olympic Park attracted thousands of participants, establishing itself as one of the most significant cultural and wellness events organized by the Embassy of India in Argentina.

Through this new edition, the Embassy of India reaffirms its commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles, holistic well-being and stronger people-to-people connections between India and Argentina.
